How To Use the Task Processor
Several types of Monte Carlo simulation are
available in StockWave — some of which are
very processor-hungry. To make the application
usable during the number crunching, all heavy
work is carried out in background threads which
are held in the task processor from where they
can be conveniently monitored (- and
'quarantined'!)
The progress of each job is shown on a row of the
grid, as well as the likely finish time. You can
check on work in progress by selecting the job
you wish to inspect then right-clicking on
Analyzer Preview.
If a job is taking too long, or is in some way pathological, you can pause or delete it.
